MAMMOGRAPHY SREENING PROGRAMME HELD ON 20TH July 2012 Dr. Shobhana S Palekar coordinated this programme as it is known that breast cancer is curable if detected at early stage. The programme was part of project to spread awareness & early detection of breast cancer. The programme was held at Gurusharanam Housing society complex with courtesy of Rtn. Suryakant Kulle, Secretary of Rotary club of Panvel.Helping Hand is non profit organization having register office at Sundaram,M.G. Road ,Ghatkopar (E), Mumbai came with mobile van at about 1045Hr. & mobile van was disinfected before commencement of mammography. The capacity of this van is 26 mammographs per day or say event. 26 ladies from Rotary circle & suggested by Paramount hospital took advantage of this programme. The idea was also to populate & convey message of this mobile mammography programme & near about 100 ladies were contacted for availing benefits of the facilities. As president of Rotary club of panvel on behalf of club would like thank Helping hand Staff in general & in particular Dr. Shobhana S.Palekar,Ann Shaila Kulle, & off course ann Sunita A. Gawarikar & Ann Arati Varun Gawarikar for taking extra ordinary efforts .
